Cuba is an island of cultural and gastronomic inspiration. It has exquisite cocktails, such as the cuba libre, the daiquirí or the famous mojito, drinks that enjoy worldwide recognition.
On this occasion, we do not want to leave out the fruits of the sea, a delicacy for any palate. We are going to make a traditional Cuban shrimp cocktail.
For 4 people
Preparation time: 30 minutes
- 1 kilo of shrimp
- 1 cup of mayonnaise
- 1 cup of tomato sauce or ketchup
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 large lemon
- 1 onion
- 1 teaspoon of spicy sauce
- 1 glass of white wine
- Black pepper
- 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
1- Precook the shrimp in boiling water for a maximum of 5 minutes so that they do not overcook.
2- Add the shrimp in a deep bowl with lemon juice and olive oil.
3- In another bowl add the mayonnaise, tomato and hot sauce. The degree of spicy depends on the taste of each one. Mix well until all the ingredients are integrated and add the white wine.
4- Add finely chopped onion, crushed garlic, salt and black pepper to taste. Mix to integrate and rectify flavor.
5- Add hot sauce and mayonnaise to the container where you have the shrimp and oregano.
6- Serve the cocktail cold.
