Bistec Uruguayo

Today we are going to learn how to make a Uruguayan steak or steak. Although it does not look like it by name, this dish is part of the menu of many Cuban restaurants and will surely delight many children … and not so children.


  • 1 kilo of beef
  • 2 slices of ham
  • 2 cheese flakes
  • 2 eggs
  • Bread crumbs
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • Lemon or vinegar juice
  • Oil
  • Salt


1–    Filetear the meat in 4 steaks of approximately 1 centimeter thickness

2–    Marinate them with crushed garlic, lemon juice or vinegar, and salt

3–    Leave them in the marinade about 1 hour

4–    Make a sandwich with 2 steaks of beef, putting in the middle a cheese slice and another of ham

5–    Put chopsticks so that they do not take off

6–    Pass them through the beaten egg and the bread crumbs

7-    Fry them in hot oil so they are well browned on both sides
