Bistec Uruguayo

Today we will learn how to make a Uruguayan steak. Although it may not seem so by the name, this dish is part of the menu of many Cuban restaurants and surely will delight many children … and not so children.


  • 1 kilo of beef
  • 2 ham slices
  • 2 cheese chips
  • 2 eggs
  • Bread crumbs
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • Lemon juice or vinegar
  • Oil
  • Salt


1–    Fillet the meat in 4 steaks of 1 centimeter of thickness approximately

2–    To marinate with crushed garlic, lemon juice or vinegar, and salt

3–    Leave them in the marinade about 1 hour.

4–    Make a sandwich with 2 beef fillets, placing in the middle a cheese slice and another ham

5–    Putting chopsticks so they do not get off

6–    Pass them for the beaten egg and breadcrumbs

Fry them in hot oil so they are golden brown on both sides
