Pan con lechón

In Cuba there are many street vendors and little windows on the street where you can buy this delicious sandwich at a very affordable price, in local currency.


If you still have some pork roast around, try this delicious Cuban sandwich, and if not, keep the recipe well for when there is something left.

Pan con lechón


  • Bread
  • Piglet
  • 1 onion
  • Salt

Pan con lechón


1. Chop the pork thoroughly, remove the fat and put it in a very hot pan.

2. After 2 or 3 minutes, toss the onion, rectify the salt and continue roasting until the pork is well cooked.

3. Cut the bread in half and place the pieces of pork with the onion in the sandwich.

4. Put the bread on the griddle or grill and crush it a bit so that the bread is well roasted.
